The African cup event was held in Pretoria, South Africa this past weekend (25-27 July). This event was a mixture of gas and electric racing. XRAY cars were running in the 13.5T electric class and in the 1/8th gas onroad class. Harold van Eeden was the top qualifier driving an XRAY T4 in the 13.5T class. After some close racing each of the drivers on the podium won at least one of the 3 finals. In the end it was Marius Stols taking the win from Warrick Atmore and Willie Noordman finishing in 3rd, all three driving the XRAY T4.
In the 1/8th onroad, Johan Kirsten finished 3rd driving an XRAY RX8 behind Jacques Liebenberg and Arnold Vermaak.
